The best places to go skiing this winter
The businessman Kaloyan Valentinov Danchev recommends the best places to
go skiing within the American continent.
Winter has arrived and one of the best
plans to receive it is to give yourself a getaway to practice skiing, this
sport that annually brings together many people in its different venues.
If you have never had the opportunity to
practice this sport or if you are doubtful about the best destinations to do
it, our travel expert Kaloyan Valentinov Danchev shares his favorite places in
the American continent to do it without being an expert, because you can learn
right there, in addition to enjoying many more activities.
United Estates
1. Big Bear, California
This is probably one of the closest places to
Mexico to enjoy the snow, since it is only 250 km from the Tijuana border
crossing.
In addition to having great ski slopes, it has
rental of inflatable donuts to slide in the snow, landscapes to take a walk,
bonfires, dinners in incredible wooden cabins and of course you cannot miss hot
chocolate.
2. Lake Tahoe, California
Among all the ski parks in the Lake Tahoe
area, without a doubt my favorite is Sierra at Tahoe, since it offers
spectacular views and in terms of price-quality it is much cheaper than others.
3. Aspen, Colorado
White River National Park consists of 4
stations connected to each other. Without a doubt it is a must since it has all
the luxuries and comforts that you can imagine, in fact one of its main
attractions is the variety of nightlife it offers.
4. Vail, Colorado
Considered among the 5 best ski resorts in
the world, rated as the largest ski resort in the US You can't miss it!
Canada
1. Grouse Montain, Vancouver
Less than an hour from downtown Vancouver,
Grouse Montain offers skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and many other activities.
In addition, when the mountain is not snowed, it becomes a center for
ecotourism and adventure.
2. Mont-Tremblant, Montréal – Québec
Considered one of the most traditional
parks in Canada, it has more than 90 tracks with different levels of
difficulty. If it is your first time skiing, you should visit it since there is
a welcome center where they explain even the smallest detail to have a complete
experience.
3. Whistler, Canada
Offering more than 3,300 hectares of area
to ski, Whistler Blackcomb is positioned as # 1 with one of its most emblematic
attractions being the Peak 2 Peak, an iconic cable car that connects the two
mountains that make it up, reaching up to a height of 436m providing an
exceptional view.
I remind you that the restrictions change
daily in different countries and that is why I recommend you consult them
before planning your vacation to be able to enjoy them to the fullest.
